Amusing Buck/McCarver Error

I've already forgotten which one was talking, but they've been talking about whether Manny Ramirez should get to play in the All-Star game, and one mentioned that Rafael Palmeiro was voted into the ASG after having only played 16 games in the first half. Well, Rafael Palmeiro never missed more than ten games in a season. What Buck/McCarver/genericvoice was actually referring to was Palmeiro's 1999 Gold Glove, which he won for playing 28 games at 1B while principally DH'ing for Texas. It might be beyond them to remember any piece of information that would discredit the Gold Glove voting.
